NCWIT, housed within CU's College of Engineering and Applied Science, is prominent on the national computing landscape, and has raised over $21 million in NSF grants, as well as considerable corporate gifts. The Regional Affiliate Manager (RAM) position is a 3/4-time, support, facilitation, and volunteer management role, focused on providing leadership and guidance to our affiliate teams and partners across the country. Most of the interactions take place by phone, email, and webinars.           What your key responsibilities will be:            Volunteer Management    Serve as the primary point of contact for a regional network of volunteers and represent the needs of NCWIT and the Aspirations in Computing program. Provide leadership to Aspirations in Computing Affiliate Coordinators, Program Partners, and other volunteers to ensure they effectively engage with their local communities throughout the Coach Affiliate Coordinators to develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment volunteers. Coach Affiliate Coordinators to develop and implement effective communication campaigns, award events, relationships with local partners, and local funders. Educate Affiliates on fund raising techniques. Develop strong relationships with assigned Affiliates & Program Partners. Ensure Affiliates & Partners adhere to responsibilities and provide leadership and guidance as necessary.      Technology and Event Support    Stay abreast and knowledgeable about NCWIT and Aspirations in Computing Resources (AiC). These materials are research-backed promising practices and reports developed by NCWIT's team of Social Scientists. Instruct Affiliate Coordinators on NCWIT and AiC materials and how to properly use them in their communities. Update volunteer toolkits and resources quickly and with excellent attention to detail. Develop and disseminate promising practices and ideas across Affiliate teams nationwide. Ensure Affiliates and Partners are up-to-date with accurate and timely information about Program Awards, Event planning, and other opportunities and/or deadlines.      Special Projects    Perform a variety of related duties as assigned or necessary with independent judgment.    What we can offer:     This is a 75% position and is competitively compensated , based on market data. Highly developed skills in negotiating with and coordinating volunteer time from busy, working professionals. Experience working with and facilitating the success of teams. Ability to coordinate under pressure of deadlines. Must be flexible and responsive to change in direction when necessary. Attention to detail. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of time during peak times.      What you will need:    A high degree of independent judgment and discretion as it will be responsible for directing the work of many volunteer teams. Excellent communication, the ability to prioritize competing needs, and the ability to track details for dozens of simultaneous events.      What we'd like you to have:    Passion for gender equity in technology Knowledge of web content management using Drupal Project management experience     Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
